教学设计思路:

中国学生的书面表达由于受汉语语法特点的影响,在句法层面上,句子结构趋于单一化,以简单句和并列句居多。英语非谓语动词结构主要包括动名词、分词和动词不定式,在英语书面语中的出现和使用频率很高。然而,不少学生在写作中却忽略了这种用法。正确适当地使用此结构可使书面表达简洁流畅,并且丰富书面语的句法结构。本节课的步骤为:找高考范文的闪光点、复习非谓语动词的形式和用法、写作中非谓语动词常见的错误、写作前的练习、看图写作。

Teaching aims:

To realize the usage of non-finite verbs is important in writing.

To be clear about the function of non-finite verbs while writing

To use various sentence patterns correctly according to certain context

Cooperate with partners actively

Inspire students to develop self-learning comprehension

Teaching important and difficult points:

How to use the non-finite verbs correctly according to certain context

To be clear about the function of non-finite verbs while writing

Teaching procedures:

Step1 Enjoy a writing

The students are required to enjoy a writing and find out the shining points.

Purpose: to be clear about how to write an excellent essay and realize the importance of using non-finite verbs.

Step2 Revision

Task2 Find out non-finite verbs and how they are used in the sentences.

1.(13福建) Knowing basic first-aid techniques will help you respond quickly to emergencies.

2.(13福建) Anyone, once tested positive for H7N9 flu virus, will receive free medical treatment from our government.

3.(13陕西) The witnesses questioned by the police just now gave very different descriptions of the fight.

4.(13上海) Young people may risk going deaf if they are exposed to very loud music every day.

5.(12辽宁) The old couple often take a walk after super in the park with their pet dog following .

Purpose: to check how the students master it ,learn the usage of non-finite verbs and

prepare them for the following tasks.

Step3 Correction of sentences chosen from students’ writing

1. Seeing from the top of mountain, the city is beautiful.

2. Read newspapers in English is one of the best ways to improve our English.

3. There are 20 students read English in the class.

Propose: Learn to use non-finite verbs correctly while writing.

Step4 Pre-writing

Task1 Make a sentence using non-finite verbs.

Task2 Rewrite and beautify sentences by using non-finite verbs.

1.Because she has no friend in the country, she found it impossible to find a job.

2.The book, which was written in simple English, is easy to understand.

3. I am a teacher. I give classes.

Purpose: to use non-finite verbs to make sentences simple, clear and vivid

Step5 Writing

Basing on the key words, the students are required to write the first paragraph of the composition.

内容要求:

1.描述图片内容;

2.为这个故事写个结局。

Key words of Para.1:

1. Mr. Li, hurry home, pay no attention to

2. beggar, lie on the ground, sleep

3. stick out his legs,trip over(绊倒) , angry

Step6 Summary and Homework

Rewrite the composition and make an ending.

Directions: Write an English composition according to the instructions given below in Chinese. 生活中,你自己或他人曾有过物品不慎丢失而又找回的经历,期间有烦恼、有惊喜、有感慨……请就此写一篇英语短文。

主要内容包括:1)丢失的物品;2)物品失而复得的经过;3)你的感想。 注意:

1. 词数不少于120个;

2. 不能使用真实姓名和学校名称。

One possible version:

Getting back what you have lost would be an

unforgettable experience. Last Monday, I lost my

expensive cellphone, on which my name was inscribed.

Fortunately, it was returned.

That morning, I rushed out of my house and jumped

into a taxi, for I would be late for the final examination. On

arriving at school, I headed to my classroom quickly, not

noticing that I had left my cellphone on the back seat.

When the exam ended, to my great surprise, I found the

driver waiting at the school gate. He handed the phone

over to me, wearing a smile on his face. So touched was I

that tears rolled down my cheeks.

From this story, I am firmly convinced of the

significance of honesty, which will contribute to building

a warm and harmonious society.
