ABSTRACT
“mood” is a very important aspect in musical expression, playing a role of representing both nature and connotation of musical works. In Erhu-perfermances, mood is getting more and more perfect, with the Erhu player’s practical experiences accumulating continuously and with the player’s musical knowledge getting richer and richer. This article demonstrate mood from two general aspects: firstly, expounding what the mood is, and next analyzing the importance of assuring mood in Erhu-playing. At last writer focus on how to display musical mood in Erhu performance, in this part writer demonstrate “mood” further from two other aspects: one is ,having wide and rich knowledge is the key to displaying musical mood of Erhu ,the other is ,mastering profound playing-technique is the technical quarantee for expressing mood of Erhu music
