ABSTRACT
China with its long history of civilization is abundart in traditional music heritage of culture. The acient poesy music evolues from Chinese history ofculture and artistic background, which was a music for acient scholars. And it even was an academic kind of music in corperating chanting and singing and displayed colourful ancient life. After twentith century, however, the acient poesy music experienced a weries of changes and the May Fourth Movement made it possible that western science flowrish and our national literature gradually receding from leading position. The combination of peom and music faced a depression and almost went to an end, thus weriously affected and damaged China’s own music. Now more and more experts in various countries pay much attention to the resumation, inheritation anddevelopment of their traditional music. It is quite necessary to explone our classical peom music as a non-material heritage with humane value.
