　　On the importance of a name It is widely believe that names play a significant part for both individuals and organizations. Nowadays, more and more attention is being draw to the change of names. Many people change names owing to the instruction of fortune tellers, expecting the name would work magically for their glorious future.however,people’s deals vary on this issue. In the first place, some people hold the view that names may contribute to their fame or fortune; others even maintain that the mental health and physical genes will be influenced or even determined by their names. In the second place, a great many people insist that the name is just a symbol with little significance. They go so far as list some famous figures with common names. As far as I concerned, for the sake of success ,more significance should be attached to intelligence ,persistence and diligence rather than one’s name .Therefore ,it is time that we put an end to this debate and put our heart and working so that we may succeed and embrace a better tomorrow.

　　Due attention should be given to the study of Chinese In recent years, the ignorance of Chinese has been prevailing among students. some refuse to take Chinese classes, and some read few Chinese classics. in the contrast, more and more students attach great importance to foreign language study. There are three premier factors that can account for such phenomenon. first and foremost, the globalization greatly stimulates the students' craze for learning English, which in turn affects students' passion for studying Chinese .moreover, fewer and fewer universities motivate students to study Chinese. last but not least, the increasing emphasis on such practical subjects as foreign language closely related to hunting jobs also cuts into students' time and energy. therefore, students' weakness in Chinese would undoubtedly not only lead to their ignorance of Chinese culture but also hinder the study of other subjects. In my view, effective measures are called for to solve the problem. first, it should be made clear to the whole society that Chinese is an indispensable part of our culture and race.second,schools should attach more importance to the teaching of Chinese. Third, students shou

　　ld enhance their awareness of the importance of mastering their mother tongue.

　　Will e-books replace traditional books? In recent decades, information technology has developed rapidly. as a resulted-books have found their way into our everyday life and have gained increasing popularity among common people. It is no wonder that some people hold the idea that e-books will replace traditional books sooner or later, because because e-books have various advantages over the traditional ones. to start with, all the e-books can be download from the internet directly, most of which are free of charge, while the traditional books in bookstores are much more expensive. what's morale-books can be stored more easily in our computers and are more convenient for people to keep. last but not least, reading e-books has become a fashion in our life, which is particularly appealing to us young people. As far as i am concerned, traditional books will still be the leading means of reading in a few years.however,the further development of information technology and with the popularity of computer and Internet ,e-books will surly take the place of traditional books in the near future.
