Getting course adviceBefore you log onto Access Adelaide you need to know which courses you need to take in both Semester 1 and Semester 2. On the enrolment page you can find out how to get course advice
Program advice www.adelaide.edu.au/enrol You may be directed to an enrolment advice session You may be directed to study plans on the web
You might receive an email from your school with a recommended study plan attached You could be advised to contact your program coordinator There are different ways of getting course advice – it varies across Faculties and levels of study (undergraduate/postgraduate) If you are not sure what to do contact your Faculty (but best to wait until you have passed your PEP)
Planning your enrolment When you know what courses you will enrol in, find a computer with internet access. You will need your user name and password. Plan with your visa conditions in mind
Planning your enrolment - Visa Rules and Enrolment Load You are expected to complete your program within the duration of the Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) for your degree program, so plan your load carefully. A full-time load is equivalent to 12 units per semester. Plan to enrol in 12 units each semester. If you enrol in less than that, you will need to catch-up in a future enrolment period. You must be in at least one face-to-face course per semester.
Attend classes and other academic commitments.Do not work without approved work rights and do not breach the working hour restrictions – a maximum of 40 hours per fortnight whilst your course is in session. Make satisfactory course progress
As an international student it is important that you seek assistance from your School or Faculty and the International Student Centre to put in place a plan that will address academic problems to improve your grades in future semesters. Continued failure over a three study periods may see a student lose their place in the program. Remember help is available!
Planning your timetable There are two ways to plan your timetable 1. Use timetable planner in Access Adelaide
OR 2. Use Course Planner available on the Enrolment Web Page www.adelaide.edu.au/enrol

What happens if my PEP result are unsatisfactory? If you have a conditional offer and receive an unsatisfactory result there are different options to consider. Option 1 Undertake and successfully complete further English language studies and delay starting your degree program until semester 2.
What happens if my PEP result are unsatisfactory?Option 2 Sit an IELTS or TOEFL test and if you gain the scores required for your degree program you will fulfil the conditions and be eligible to enter without undertaking further English language studies. (Please note: Timing of the IELTS test and availability of test results may mean you cannot start your degree program in Feb 2016)

Can I change my program before the start of Semester 1 2016?Not necessarily - This will depend on whether you meet the entry criteria for the new program and whether you have applied before the application deadline. You can contact the International Office on www.international.adelaide.edu.au/enquiries/ or visit Ask Adelaide staff on Level 3 Hub Central. We strongly recommend that you commence your current program of study before you make any decision to change. And ask advice at your enrolment advice session on how to structure your degree to meet any longer term objectives (e.g. double major)
There is an enrolment advice session scheduled before my PEP results are released. What should I do?
It is important to attend the scheduled advice session so that you can meet key staff and receive advice about how to structure your enrolment. Then when your PEP pass is confirmed you can enrol on Tuesday 16 Feb.
