Abstract:Chinese medicine is a therapeutic method for the patients . But it has a less using category than Western medicine . Language is absolutely a obstacle for this , so Chinese medicine English which should be given more attention to change the situation in nowadays in order to internationalize it .

Introduction

Chinese medicine is a therapeutic method for the patients is popular in China . For the shortage in Chinese medicine English result in many people worldwide do not know about Chinese medicine , and do not trust or give attention , either , which can change Chinese medicine into a easy way to understand in the world . Thus lead to a limited area for developing Chinese medicine or have prejudice on it , which fail to help more people to enjoy the special service of Chinese medicine and this is the point . So , it is fundamental that Chinese medicine English should have more attention to change the situation in nowadays .

1 .Current Situation of Chinese Medicine English

1.1 Status in the School

Nowadays there are few undergraduate courses has set up the major Chinese medicine English , but , more attention still be given to the education of public English and the passing rate about CET 4 and 6 , which never change but to meet tests . While the public English does not contain much professional contents about , thus fail to make the base for the communication with people English speaking and do nothing useful for the purpose to internationalize Chinese medicine .

1.2 Attitude from the Student

For the student who majored in the Chinese medicine have more knowledge general people would not have to to remember clearly , though rich their background about the Chinese medicine . They would not have interests in Chinese medicine English which not only have much more words to be remembered but with so less attractiveness or even be boring for them and needs plenty time to study well . In the other hand , they can not get higher grade by learning Chinese medicine English well for the structure about grade made by school , then it has been ignored again .

Take the reality in consideration , the actuality is that Chinese medicine English is still ignored by people , these things above are of no good for the

internationalization of Chinese medicine .

2. Necessity about the Study of the Chinese Medicine English

Because the common logical think can not be used in the understand of the Chinese medicine for the system of the Chinese medicine theory have many Chinese philosophical think such as materialism and dialectics . For example , “Qi” in Chinese medicine has more than three meaning :?:refined nutritive substance flowing within the body ;?:generally denoting the function of the internal organs and tissues ;?:one of affected phases or stages in acute febrile disease . Qi is one of the fundamental concepts of Chinese thought . The manifestation of any invisible force is called Qi .

2.2 Professional of Chinese medicine English

Chinese medicine English is a discipline to translate Chinese medicine

theoretical system into English comprehensively and practice it in reality . [2]For the original documents of Chinese medicine are expressed by ancient Chinese which make it difficult for people majoring in public English to understand , translate and maybe make mistakes , because of their limit in terminology of Chinese medicine . So people whose major is Chinese medicine learn Chinese medicine English well can

easily convey the real meaning . English is a tool that can facilitate the way to

understand for people using English and help them know more substantiality about Chinese medicine .

2.3 Function of the Chinese medicine English

In November 2012 , the undersecretary Guoqiang Wang of the Ministry of Health said : “ the nation is appealing to cultivate professors not only special in Chinese medicine but Chinese medicine English in order to introduce the culture of Chinese medicine to the world . ” when he had a public interview . [3] Grasp Chinese medicine English well make it easy to communicate and argue with the foreigner

speaking English , and maybe stimulate sorts of ideas and use different perspectives to search the essence of the Chinese medicine with the help of the technological and scientific methods , thus let more and more people to know , understand and enjoy the benefit of Chinese medicine , and internationalize it , more important to spread the mission Chinese medicine : to save and to treat .

3. Suggestion

3.1 Improve the Quality of the Faculty and Reform the Teaching Method School of foreign languages of TCM have their most English teachers majoring in cultural direction , language direction and translation direction who master limited knowledge of Chinese medicine . With so small part of professors with high level of Chinese medicine and Chinese medicine English . So , how to distribute the teacher resources is important , such as the language teacher take charge of the four basic abilities : listen , speak , read and write of the students , translation teacher dominate the translation study and the professors in Chinese medicine English educate the Chinese medicine English basing on the former two , and then improving the quality of students of Chinese medicine English gradually . At the same time , encouraging English teachers to know more knowledge of Chinese medicine and optimizing the teaching team on one hand , and on other hand , recruiting more professors in Chinese medicine English .

3.2 Encourage students to change attitude to Chinese medicine English In the modern society , the distance between people short more and also have

more frequency mobility , for the easy access of transportation and advantage in telecommunication , that is to say , no matter which career you will be choose in the future , home or abroad , it is will be common to have dealings with foreigners speaking English . For students who want to be a doctor study Chinese medicine English well can do good to your career and propagate the national culture , which will contribute to the internationalization of Chinese medicine .

4. Conclusion

As described above , the Chinese medicine English needs more attention to change the current situation . Specific actions must be formulated by schools , and what crucial is the student’s attention . So the relation is so close between the reform of teaching method and active emotion of students to study Chinese medicine English , and guides must be made to direct students , to ensure the importance of Chinese medicine English and the internationalization of Chinese medicine .
