农民诗人—余秀华

Yu Xiuhua, a Chinese woman suffering from brain paralysis(脑瘫). She is named as

China’s Emily Dickinson, after onepoems appeared on the Internet. The farmer

poet, who is unable to walk and talk normally, has written over millions of

words.

Yu Xiuhua, a disabled farmer from Hengdian, Hubei province in 1976, would never

think of becoming paralysis of a lack of oxygen, and was unable to walk and talk properly like an ordinary person. Facing in high school, she dropped out. Because of physical reason on her body, she can’t do much farm work except for simple housework or raising animals.

“When I （满足）. I never thought poems would bring me anything. I feel think has not been hurt.

Since 2009, she has nearly 2，000 poems. She has got thousands of clicks on her microblog. Her poems are also published in magazines. She has been interviewed by the press. The disabled poet has into the public’s eyes.
