“还原法”——解答疑难单选题的金钥匙

高考单选题的测试点本来十分简单，每年考点基本不变。但命题者会有意把题干复杂化，改写成一个少见或陌生的结构，来增加试题的难度。

① It was ____back home after the experiment.(湖北卷)

A . not until midnight did he go

B. until midnight that he didn’t go

C. not until midnight that he went

D. until midnight when he didn’t go

根据题意应是表达：直到午夜时分他才做完实验回家。（not…until)

温馨提示：当被强调的是not…until句型中的until引导的时间状语时， 要将not放在until的前面。基本句式为It is/ was +not until…that…

（改为强调句）→

Tip: 在此类考题中，题干为复杂句，句中被修饰的先行词有时与定语从句中 的动词可构成固定短语。因此，考生熟练掌握一定量的固定短语，有助于迅速发现此类结构。
