Introduction

As a student of Financial Service, I had received the total sum of ￡100,000 to invest and finish a project investigation during 31st December and 1st April, though this process of this project, we will know the London stock exchange completely, in addition, the more investment data we know, the more money we earn, we will get better understanding of the secondary market when we complete this project, better acquainted with the investment portfolio, besides, the influence of the FTSE companies will clearly occur in our minds and it is good for us to business ,we also prepare to list the fitness for purpose content :

1. Dose the stock also earn the profit during the period or not?

2. Has a project approach been selected which to get better to know about the company condition?

3. Are project objective project approach and strategies consistent with the responsibility directive?

4. Dose the competitors also excess the profit in the final? 5. Dose the stock market is stable in London Stock Exchange?

1.2 Approach to the project research strategy

This is the experimental Business Research which use in this project, then we use case study to acquire the data and analysis it, case studies are a valuable tool providing summary information and a snapshot of work undertaken, of course, it also has been divided into three main area, Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), Descriptive and Explanatory.

Obviously, this case study I also use the Descriptive statistics, I use the existing theory approach to analysis as Descriptive statistics describe the main features of a collection of data quantitatively, which are distinguished from inferential statistics (or inductive statistics), in that descriptive statistics aim to summarize a data set quantitatively without employing a probabilistic formulation. It can estimate whether the statistics hold the benefit to the company or not, and estimate whether the approach is it efficiency or not.

Hence, useful method is to collect the primary, secondary, and tertiary sources. Primary sources allow researchers to get as close as possible to original ideas, events and empirical studies as possible. Such sources may include expositions of creative

ideas, first hand account of events, for instance, interviews, which could get full range and depth of information in order to catch the useful data, however, it also take much time and hard to analyze and compare. Which also similar with the method of observation.

Secondary sources are accounts of events which were created well after the event occurred, secondary sources are based on primary sources, they are usually studies which analyze, evaluate, interpret, or criticize primary sources, like data review, which from review of applications, finances memos, minutes, ect.. In this case, I use the stock price, consideration and the information about the companies to invest and analysis the stock trend, profit earn and so on.

In addition, the qualitative and quantity analysis are also vital, the qualitative research focuses on words and observations to find out reality, then attempts to deserve people in natural situation. For instance, the group interview method, which a small and carefully selected group of people is invited to a discussion on whatever topic is under review, a questionnaire may be provided. Besides, Quantitive is which the research grow out of a solid academic trust in numbers that delegate opinions and is an inexpensive way to gather data from a potentially large number of respondents, the way of questionnaire for us also acquire the useful things about the LSE, the FTSE 100 companies and so on, helping us to invest better.

1.3 Justification for choices

I choose those four companies also primary listing is on the London Stock

Exchange and constituent of the FTSE 100 Index. FTSE 100 companies represent about 81% of the market capitalisation of the whole London Stock Exchange. Even though the FTSE All-Share Index is more comprehensive, the FTSE 100 is by far the most widely used UK stock market indicator, in addition the market price also account for the larger proportion in the LSE, when they have the vital news which would hold the major contact to the whole market in the LSE or the other stock exchange market.
