A Report on Weekend Activities

I find that almost half of the students study by themselves at home. About 25% of them prefer to watch TV or listen to music. 20% of them like to chat online or play computer games, while 10% of them of help their parents do housework. Only a small number of them go in for sports or travelling.

In my opinion, all of us students should have a proper plan for our weekends. We should make good use of our time, learning more knowledge, developing our interests. We should also learn to relax, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to spend too much time watching TV , chatting online or playing computer games.

How to protect/save our environment/world?

The environmental pollution is more and more serious today. We have no clean water to drink because of - 1 -

water pollution. And when trees are cut down, some animals disappear. There is more and more dirty smoke in the air. People's health has been greatly affected by air, noise and water pollution. Many people died of diseases. In order to live a better life, it’s time for us to protect our world.

Firstly, we shouldn’t throw away rubbish everywhere. And we should recycle, reduce and reuse things, for this saves money and reduces pollution. Use things for as long as possible. Don’t use plastic bags. Also, we must plant more trees and stop people cutting them .We hope our world is more and more beautiful.

4.语言学习

世界在发展，文化在交融，英语已成为人们沟通的桥梁，怎样才能学好英语是我们一直在求索的问题。几年的学习经历你一定积累了许多成功的经验，请从听、说、读、写四方面谈谈你的建议。

How to learn English well

English is important and useful to use. How can we learn it well ? Here are my suggestions. There are four key points to study English: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Firstly, we should be brave to talk with others in English. Secondly, we should try to listen to all kinds of English programs as much as possible. Thirdly, we should often read English books. When we meet a new word. We should guess its meaning. Then look it up in the dictionary to have a check. Fourthly, we should practice our writing skills by making pen friends.

As long as we listen, speak, read and write more, we are sure to make rapid progress!

5.计划与愿望

暑假将至，同学们就自己暑假生活安排进行了交流。请你用英语向美籍教师Mr Brown 介绍有关情况以及自己的暑假计划。

内容应包括以下要点：

1.有的同学打算外出旅游，放松一下；

2.有的同学计划在家中多读书，为将来的学习做准备；

Summer vacation is coming. Students in my class have different plans for it. Some of my classmates are going to visit some places of interest. Some are not going out, instead, they are going to do more reading and prepare for the future studies. Some want to do more sports to keep fit. As for me, I plan to go to Beijing to see the “Nest”, because it’s a good chance to make more friends and know more about the Olympic Games.

Breakfast Is Important

Breakfast is important. But not all the students have realized its important. Here’s the result of our survey. About 55 percent of the students have breakfast regularly every day. They keep healthy and look active. 25 percent of them just have junk food instead. They don’t have a balanced diet. It is bad for their health. 20 percent of the students go to school without breakfast. As a result, these students often fell hungry in class and can’t listen to teachers carefully. What’s worse, they get ill easily.

It’s necessary/important for us

to have breakfast and we should also have the right kinds of food for breakfast.

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Today my topic is “Learning to get along with our parents”.

These days, most of us feel it is hard to get along with our parents. Many students have trouble in getting on with their parents. They often quarreled with their parents, so they don’t like to talk with them. This is because parents care for the marks too much. How can we solve the problem? Well, first, we should respect our parents because they care for us all the time. Second, we are supposed to do some housework at home. We should help clean the room, cook meals and so on. Third, we should care for them, and have a talk with them about their work.
