Love in Notting Hill VS Love in Qiong Yao’s work

Have you still been immersed in the love stories of Qiong Yao? When the hills are all flat and the rivers are all dry, when it rains and snows in summer, when heaven and earth mingle not until then will I part from you. Do all true loves need sea dry and rocks crumble? Do all true loves need deafness, blindness or loss of legs? Unfortunately, not everyone can have such special experiences. In fact, no one wants to experience it only to achieve true love. After seeing Notting Hill, I find that there is a kind of love that is fine and smooth, no great storms, no exaggerations, but is more impressive than other love stories.

I’m also just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking to love her. It is the most touching words in Notting Hill. It is simple, soft but not artificial. Anna Scott is an American movie star; her photos appear on the covers of magazines, buses, advertising boards, and her every action is the world's attention. She meets an ordinary person William Thacker by accident and start a love story. They don’t meet any big troubles. The only frustration is William’s feeling of insecure. Because he don’t believe that Anna will love himself, but the frustration is

removed quickly until Anna put her dignity down and beg William to love her. The part is the most impressive in this movie. After seeing that, I start to consider the nature of love. Love is just love, no reason, no dignity, just you want to accompany with a man forever. However, Qiong Yao’s love is too romantic, too beautiful and too firm. All things in love are

exaggerated. Maybe novels need exaggeration.

However, Notting Hill’s love and Qiong Yao’s love have one thing in common, that is romantic but not realistic. Famous star Anna Scott falls in love with an ordinary bookshop owner William Thacker. Amorous prince Yong Qi falls in love with an unassuming girl Xiao Yanzi. Do you think it is possible? Having beautiful dreams is no ground for blame. But if you hope that one day when walking along street, you will meet a Mr. Right who is tall rich and handsome and will fall in love with you. It cannot be called beautiful dream, it should be wishful thinking. The only thing we can expect is true love. Nowadays, love envelops in money and reputation. With the increasing of age, we find that there is no love like that in youth. At that time, the love is so pure. You love someone only because you love him, not because he is rich or not.
