1 Study abroad

As we all know, there are many parents have their children sent to study abroad in recent years. In my opinion, the advantage of studying abroad is much more than the disadvantage.

First of all, studying abroad can broaden our horizon .We can have a better understanding of foreign culture if we experience by ourselves .Second, our ability will be improved as a result of studying abroad, such as a good knowledge of a foreign language, the ability of independence and communication, etc. Besides, from the aspect of job-hunting, it will be easer for a person who has an experience of studying abroad to find a good job at home.

In a word, despite the existence of disadvantage, studying abroad leads to a better future, and I think more awareness should be attached to the merits but not the demerits of studying abroad. 2 Home Tutoring

People's attitudes towards home tutoring are different. Some think of it positively. They hold this opinion because home tutoring helps kids to get over difficulties by raising their academic scores and improving their learning skills. But every coin has two sides. Although the above view sounds reasonable, others think of it negatively. From their point of view, home tutoring may add a financial burden to parents and a heavy academic burden to children. Too much tutoring influences children's normal study . In my opinion, home tutoring has both advantages and disadvantages. Moderate tutoring can help children to improve their learning, esp. for those who lack the ability to study by themselves, but excessive tutoring may spoil these children. It may make children become too dependent and have less ability to solve their problems. Therefore, it's advisable that we should seek help from tutors when it is necessary. 3 Reading,an Outdated Thing? Nowdays,reading is not as popular as before,and people read less and less

books.It seems like that reading has sliped from our minds,and we are not interested in it any more.

Why we don't like reading or read less books?First of all,Some people say they have not enough time to read,because they are so busy in their business,and reading becomes a luxury in their life.Further more,as the development of the computer and internet,more people choose going online as their entertainment,because they can find more fun in it.Finally,they don't have a quiet environment to read

books,noises and continuing interuption from other people make them can't

concetrate on the reading.So they just have to reading.

So reading is going farther and farther from us,and I hope more people can spare some time to read,and you can read books on the internet instead of playing games or chating.We also should make an quiet environment for the people.Thus,more people will like reading.

4 Investing in Pudong

Pudong in Shanghai is now a very busy and crowded(拥挤) area. There are many tall buildings, companies and people there. However, in the 1980s, it was a quiet area with small boats and a few small buildings. Pudong is more modern than it was before. This is because there have been many land projects to develop this area. The land around Pudong has become very valuable. Many big companies have offices there.Tourism is now an important

industry in Shanghai. Most tourists visit the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and Jinmao Tower in Pudong. And now, 3five, Pudong, to, six bridges, underwater, there, and, tunnels, are. Thousands of buses, lorries, cars and taxis use the bridges and tunnels every day. The underground also runs trains under the water.To conclude,4 Pudong is now much busier and more crowded than it was before. It is noisy, but also very exciting. 5 Can money buy happiness?

Can money buy happiness? Various people have various answers. Some people think that money is the source of happiness. With money, one can buy whatever he enjoys. With money, one can do whatever he likes. So, in their minds, money can bring comfort, security, and so on. Money, as they think, is the source of happiness. But there are still a lot of others who think that money is the root of all evil. Money drives people to steal, to rob, and to break the law. A lot of people became criminals just because they were in search of money. And in the Western countries, there is nothing that can’t be bought by money. Many people lose their own lives when hunting it.

I think that money is essential to life and we cannot do without money. But even though money is necessary to life, it can’t buy happiness. Happiness is not something that can be measured by money. It is a state of mind. One can have plenty of money, with which he can buy whatever he wants, and at the same time he is not happy because he is never satisfied or he is troubled by various kinds of problems. Therefore, although money is necessary for a happy life, it can’t buy happiness. 6 The Prospects of Private Cars in China

With the develoment of our economy, there are more and more private cars in China. Streets are crowded with all sorts of cars. Why does this happen? Is this phenomenon good or bad for us?

In recent years, lots of people can afford to buy their own cars. Government is putting more and more money on the

construction of high-ways. A huge number of people are taking lessons in driving schools. Therefore, the emergence of more and more private cars will be a trend that can not be avoided.

However, this phenomenon may cause some problems in big cities. For example, there are serious traffic jams in rush hours. What’s more, the gas and smoke cars

produced will lead to air pollution. Oil shortage, with more cars to come, will become a big problem. Fortunately, our government is now taking measures to improve this situation. With the

development of the science and technology and above all, the guidance of the government we believe that all the problems could be solved. 7 Make Cities Green

With industries and business developing quickly, the number of trees in many big cities has dramatically reduces. Efforts are being made to prevent people from cutting more trees. But a lot of trees are being destroyed by people who have never thought of the importance of green plants.Making cities greener has many advantages. First, it can make our air cleaner. Some researchers have proved that trees can reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere through

absorption. Second, it can make our cities more beautiful. With trees and flowers everywhere, living conditions can be improved.

Finally, it can produce timber----an effective way to solve the problems of limited supply of natural resources.

Making our cities greener requires nationwide efforts. People in every field should not only know about the

importance of keeping the quality of urban environment, but also take common action to plant more trees and flowers so as to improve our living conditions.

8 Man and Animals

As is known to us all,the number of the wild animals is becoming less and less because of man's wildly killing and

making money,so now many animals are in danger of disppearing from the world.But in fact human and animals should live peacefully in the world because animals are our friends and we should be also friendly to them to make our world better and better.So we must do something to stop human from killing wild animals . 10 My View on Job-hopping

People have different attitudes towards

their work. Some prefer to stick to one

occupation as their lifelong career. These

people are of the opinion that one can

never do his work well unless he is

devoted to job in his lifetime. So

if one changes his job frequently, he will

not get the necessary experience needed in

his work.

Others, on the other hand, like to change

their jobs at times. In their opinion, people

work in order to make more money. If they

havea chance to get a better paid job, they

will certainly try to get this chance.

Besides, if a person does job all

his life, he will certainly be bored with it.

My idea is that interest is the most

important if one wants to excel others in

his job. So if a person is not interested in

his job, job hopping is normal and even

necessary. Otherwise, he will suffer from

his work, and inevitably, he is not likely to

succeed in his career.

11 The use of computer in work office

With rapid development of science

and technology. Nowadays,

Computer have been more and more

popular in office work and have made the

work more convenient and efficient.

First,a omputer will save us a long

time searching by hand through extensive

storage files.We just need to type in the

name of the file and the computer will

search for us.Second,acomputer will

answer our question .we will no longer be

disappointed at the waiting course.

But a computer can not take our place at

work.We mustn`t depend too much on

computers.We should realize that it is we

who control the computer .Never let

computers control us.
